Domaine de Cristia Châteauneuf du Pape 2007

Varietal: 80% Grenache, 10% Syrah

Viticulture & Vinification Notes: The 50-year-old vines are planted in sandy loam soils with clay and pebbles. The grapes are destemmed, inoculated with indigenous yeasts and fermented and macerated in concrete vats. The Grenache is aged in concrete vats for 18 months, the Syrah in oak-barrels for 18 months.

Tasting Notes From The Winemaker: Deep garnet red color with purple highlghts. Wine has a nose of wild herbs, fruits, bay leaves and other spices. Full-bodied with soft tannins. Flavors of licorice and ripe fruit before a long finish.
