Varietal: 100% Riesling
Viticulture & Vinification Notes: The fruit is hand-selected from a single classified vineyard site and therefore production is limited. The wine undergoes a long cool fermentation in oak and is then slowly aged in oak barrels to ensure terroir-driven wines at their best.
Notes From The Winemaker: This opulent wine has been harvested October 1st, 2006 in our oldest Riesling Grand Cru site from 44 years old vines. Fermented and matured in traditional 1,200 litre German oak barrels called “Stückfass”. The loess soil gives this wine the exotic fruit, and the very matured berries resulted this fine honey like spiciness and the fine lingering finish.
Wine Enthusiast Magazine: There are plenty of petrolly minerality and ripe pear flavors.
