The purpose of CRU is to present well-crafted wines that explore and refine intrinsic characteristics and advantages of eastern Long Island. Vinification is small-scale, based in traditional methods that value “transparency” so as not to obscure unique site, climate and style traits.

22 Chardonnay 2003

Varietal: 100% Chardonnay (Dijon clone)

Viticulture & Vinification Notes: Fruit was sourced from a vineyard planted in 1993. Grapes were destemmed and lightly pressed before undergoing both alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in barrels. The wine was aged in 100% used oak barrels(Vicard Nevers, Damy Allier, and Mercier Troncais) for 7 months and 3.5 months in stainless steel. 75 cs production.

Varietal: Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon

Viticulture & Vinification Notes: The right-bank Bordeaux blend is named after the sons of the owners of Cru Cellars. The grapes are sourced from different growers and different base wines are produced before the assemblage. Part of the wine is aged in oak and part in steel tank. The wine is bottled unfiltered. 180 cs production.
