Viticulture & Vinification Notes: Fruit was left on the vines for an

extended hang time. During the fermentation, native yeasts from

the portion of whole clusters that were kept whole were used.

325 cases made.

Wine Spectator Magazine: 87 Points. Savory, with peppery, beefy

flavors that are intense and concentrated. Well-focused, this firms

up on the finish, where the tannins give it a clipped feel. Drink now through 2012.

Robert Parker: 89 Points. The restrained, tight-knit 2005 Syrah

Rosella’s Vineyard possesses outstanding ripeness as well as potential. There is plenty of blueberry and blackberry fruit in addition to hints of licorice and spice.
