          Domaine Armand Hurst

Armand Hurst is one of the most respected artisanal winemakers in Turckheim. His 9.54 hectares of vineyards are spread through out most of the lieu-dit, which have given this terroir its reputation: Eichberg, Kirchberg, Schlatten, Kirchtal, Erstein, Schneid, Steinglitz, Schneckelsbourg, without forgetting the stunning Grand Cru Brand in the heart of the historic grand cru (of which Hurst is one of the largest landowners).

100% Riesling

Viticulture & Vinification Notes: The fruit is sourced from the stunning Grand Cru vineyard Brand. The ancient vineyard has fine granite soils with little capacity to retain water. Good exposure to sunlight as well as good elevation results in a long ripening period. The grapes are hand-selected and the wine has 48 grams per liter residual sugar.

Pinot Noir Vieilles Vignes 2006

100% Pinot Noir

Viticulture & Vinification Notes: The fruit is sourced from southward facing vineyards with granite soils. The vines have an average age of 50 years. The wine goes through a cold soak prior to fermentation. Sugar fermentation occurs in stainless steel while malolactic fermentation occurs in small oak barrels. 90% of the barrels are 1 or more years old, 10% are new oak barrels. Barrel-aged for 6 months.

            Domaine Paul Kubler

Located in beautiful Soultzmatt, Domaine Paul Kubler was established in 1620. It is currently managed by Philippe Kubler, a 13th generation member of the Kubler family. The Kublers own nine hectares of vineyards with vines that have an average age of 30 years. They feature four main soil types: limestone, sandstone, soils with a combination of both limestone and sandstone, and soils with alluvial deposits. The Domaine focuses on white varietals and over time have carefully studied where each varietal performs best and in what soil each varietal finds its best expression.
