                  Vigne & Vini

Located in the heart of Magna Graecia in Southern Italy, Vigne & Vini has been a family owned and run operation for three generations. Today, owner and winemaker Cosimo Varvaglione and his wife, Maria Teresa Basile, are producing highly acclaimed wines based on upholding traditional practices while maintaining modern and advanced technology. The family uses a vine cultivation method begun by the Ancient Greeks 2500 years ago called “ad alberello” (“free standing plants”) in order to expose the grapes to the sun. The meticulously managed vineyards are planted with native Salento varietals such as Primitivo, Negromaro, Aglianico, and Malvasia Nera.
