Spain: Ribera del Arlanza

            Bodegas Monte Amán

The bodegas and vineyards are situated in Castrillo Solarana. The municipal district and area belongs to the region of Ribera del Arlanza where growing grapes and making wine has been a tradition since the Roman times.

Bodegas Monte Amán was established in 1985 when 30 hectares of prime vineyards were planted with 95% Tinta del Pais and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. But it was not until 1989 when the Barbadillo Garcia family built the winery and cellars that the bodegas was officially producing wine.

Today, Monte Amán is a modern winery within an ancient Spanish fortress that produces beautiful classic red wines.
