Located in Rioja Alavesa, Bodegas Baigorri is an architectural
masterpiece as well as skilled fine wine producer.
The winery was constructed with the theory of exploiting the power of gravity in most of its functions. The winery itself is housed mostly below ground to respect the vineyards which surround it.

Varietal: 100% Tempranillo
Viticulture & Vinification Notes: The grapes are hand-selected before undergoing maceration in stainless steel tanks. Must is extracted by a pneumatic press before it undergoes malolactic fermentation in stainless steel presses. The wine is then barrel aged for 12 months in different types of oak, French, American and Russian from the Caucasus before going to bottle.

Varietal: Tempranillo and small amounts of other native varietals
Viticulture & Vinification Notes: Fruit is sourced from old vines, the grapes are hand-selected and macerated in wooden tanks. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation sûr lies in new French oak and left to age outside, protected from the rain but exposed to weather conditions that get harsh and cold in the winter thereby achieving a nearly natural stabilization.
