Bodegas Tempore Vina Centuria Zaragoza 2004

ITEM # TEMPVC04

Varietal: 100% Grenache

Viticulture & Vinification Notes: The grapes are sourced from 50-60 year old vines at 700 meters above sea level. The wine is barrel aged for 10 months in American and French oak. No fining, stabilization, or filtration occurs.

Notes From The Winemaker: Produced from the best grapes selected from traditional vineyards planted more than 50 years ago, at an altitude of 700 metres. The fusion of all these properties give it a kind of aroma and flavour that turn it into an exclusive wine. Matured in barrels of American and French oak over a period of 10 months, the result is a wine that extols the natural virtues of an indigenous variety from our region, giving it a personal, unique character all of its own. With its dark cherry red tone, it offers fruity aromas, with a character typical of its native land (mineral) and pleasant hints of pale red fruit, with a varietal wrap of Garnacha and hints of spiciness from the wood perfectly combined with those of the fruit. In the mouth it has a fruity flavour with hints of variety and wood in harmony, a mature full-bodied depth and touch of earthiness. It is a wine in its natural state that may develop legs over time as a result of its evolution, in which case it should be decanted before serving.
International Wine & Spirit Competition 2007: Awarded the Bronze Medal in the VDLT Bago Aragón - Grenache - 2004 category.
