Varietal: 100% Carménère

Viticulture & Vinification Notes: The grapes were sourced from La Capilla vineyard that features free-draining alluvial loam/clay soils and 17 year old vines. At harvest, the grapes were picked , destemmed and the must was fermented in stainless steel tanks with daily pumpovers. 25% of the wine was then barrel aged for 5 months in used French and American oak and 75% of the wine was aged in stainless steel tanks.

Notes From The Winemaker: Deep purple in colour, on the nose this wine delivers a classic Carménère nose of spice, black cherry and mocha. In the mouth notes of boysenberry, cassis, black tea and fragrant herbs combine beautifully leading to a long finish backed by soft, supple tannins.
