Viu Manent Secreto Viognier Colchagua 2007

ITEM # VMSV07

Varietal: 85% Viognier, 15% "secreto"blend

Viticulture & Vinification Notes: The grapes were sourced from nine year old vines withing the San Carlos vineyard. At harvest the grapes were hand-selected before being fermented and then aged for one to two months in stainless steel tanks.

Notes From The Winemaker: On the nose this wine displays lifted notes of lime, pineapple, and orange blossum. This is followed in the mouth by layers of pear, nectarine and quince over a bright, racy acidity imparting a refreshingly mineral structure. Ready to drink now. Enjoy on it’s own as an aperitif or with a fresh ceviche or spicy asian cuisine. Also delicious with selected mild soft rind cheeses such as brie and camembert.

Wine Spectator Magazine: Juicy, with good peach and anise notes. Turns toward a hint of fruit cocktail on the finish. Drink now.

Wine Enthusiast Magazine: 85 Points.

Hugh Johnson's Pocket Wine Guide: Very good.
