A Sweet Addition to our Portfolio
We are very happy to introduce a new addition to our portfolio from the incredibly successful Chilean producer Viu Manent. Made from 100% Semillon, the Noble Semillon Botrytis Selection 2008 is a gem.
The fruit was sourced from the San Carlos vineyard in the Colchagua Valley where temperatures are moderated alternately by sea breezes from the Pacific Ocean and inland winds from the Andes mountain ranges. With rainfall concentrated primarily in the winter, the summers are dry with warm days and cool nights, perfect for allowing the Semillon grapes to mature and develop profound flavors and aromatics.
The grapes were meticulously hand-picked at harvest and then fermented in stainless steel as well as in oak barrels. The sweet wine was then barrel aged for 7 months in used French oak.
With notes of tropical fruits as well as honey, apricot, and walnuts, the wine is beautifully balanced with lively acidity, mouthcoating texture, and backbone.
Enjoy this seductive wine chilled as a cocktail or with foods such as creamy white cheeses or foie gras.
