Moulis en Médoc

         Chateau Biston Brillette

Château Biston Brillette has cultivated vines since it was owned by M. Biston in the early 19th century. Unfortunately, in 1860, the vines were ravaged by phylloxera and, until 1930 when the chateau and the land were sold separately. Since 1963 the 25 hectare vineyard has been managed by M. Michel Barbarin. 18 year old Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot vines are planted in calcareous and gravely soils.

Varietal: 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, and 5% Petit Verdot.

Viticulture & Vinification Notes: The grapes were sourced from 18-year old vines, destemmed and vinified via traditional techniques. The wine was barrel-aged in 25-35% new oak for 12 to 14 months.

Pessac-Léognan

         Château Haut Lagrange

Located in the prestigious region of Pessac-Léognan within the Graves, Château Haut Lagrange first planted its vineyard in 1989. Like most of its neighbors, the vineyard has gravel soils with terrific drainage.

The Château produces a dry white wine from Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon, and a red wine from Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.

   Château Beau Site Haut Vignoble

Château Beau Site Haut Vignoble traces its history back to 1861 when the owner used the money he had made transporting wood by oxen to buy parcels of vineyards and build the château. In 1924, Pierre Braquessac doubled the size of the property but it wasn’t until Rene Braquessac took over in 1951 that the estate began producing wine. The family owns 19 hectares of land most of which features deep-gravel soils.
